James Peterson's studio is located in the Brooklyn. He works in a four floor brownstone equipped with one floor dedicated to food preparation. A second floor is the studio itself which has its own prep kitchen. Jim also has a large prop collection which dimishes the need for prop rentals or eliminates the need altogether. Because of his experience as a chef and food writer (see his other website, jimcooks.com) he is often willing to style the food himself. These assets, along with his ability to shoot digitally with the latest high end equipment, or with film, reduces many of the costs of a typical photo shoot.
